Matterhörnli® – the sweet specialty from Zermatt
Matterhörnli are one of Zermatt's most famous specialties. These handmade pralines in the shape of the Matterhorn combine Swiss chocolate, local ingredients, and traditional confectionery craftsmanship. For many years, they have been among the most popular sweet souvenirs of Valais.

What are Matterhörnli®?
Matterhörnli are exquisite pralines shaped like the Matterhorn. Each praline is handmade in the Fuchs bakery's confectionery in Zermatt. The combination of regional sourcing, Swiss chocolate, and meticulous craftsmanship makes Matterhörnli a unique treat and a popular product for guests from around the world.

Handmade
Each Matterhörnli is made entirely by hand. The chocolate molds are individually decorated, poured, cooled, and then filled. Production follows classic confectionery techniques, free from industrial machinery. The result is a praline with a fine texture, clean lines, and a high-quality, thin, and delicate shell with a soft center.
Ingredients and regional origin
For our Matterhörnli, we use only Swiss chocolate and select regional ingredients from Valais. The fillings are freshly made in our bakery using natural ingredients. The combination of regional origin and careful processing ensures an authentic taste with a local character.
